The "Club"
The Alde Garde is a small (very small) club. In fact, we are no real wargames club at all, but we just use the name to present demos of our games at various wargames shows.
The whole "club" can be seen on the middle left photograph (Peter on the right, Jan on the left). The disadvantage of being just two, is the little time that's available to paint figures, model terrain and actually play a wargame.
As can be seen on the other pages, we are interested in historical wargames and even sometimes more interested in history then in the wargame itself.
We live near the city of Venlo, which is in the south-eastern part of the Netherlands, not far from the German border.
As often as we can, we participate in wargame shows in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany as it gives us the drive to paint new figures or make new terrain.
At the moment we play the following periods:

Planned periods are 1672-1699 (in 25mm) and Italian Wars 1494-1525 (in 25mm). Also the French Revolution is a period we love to wargame but we are still in doubt if it will be in 25mm or 15mm.
As with every wargamer, we have a lot of plans, already a lot of boxes with unpainted lead but too little time.
